Abstract

The invention provides isolated nucleic acid molecules, designated HST-1 nucleic acid molecules, which encode novel sugar transporter family molecules. The invention also provides antisense nucleic acid molecules, recombinant expression vectors containing HST-1 nucleic acid molecules, host cells into which the expression vectors have been introduced, and nonhuman transgenic animals in which an HST-1 gene has been introduced or disrupted. The invention still further provides isolated HST-1 polypeptides, fusion polypeptides, antigenic peptides and anti-HST-1 antibodies. Diagnostic methods utilizing compositions of the invention are also provided.
L'invention concerne des molécules d'acides nucléiques isolées, appelées molécules d'acides nucléiques HST-1, qui codent pour de nouvelles molécules appartenant à la famille des transporteurs du glucose. L'invention concerne aussi des molécules d'acides nucléiques antisens, des vecteurs d'expression recombinés contenant des molécules d'acides nucléiques HST-1, des cellules hôtes dans lesquelles ces vecteurs d'expression ont été introduits, et des animaux transgéniques non humains dans lesquels un gène de HST-1 a été introduit ou disrupté. L'invention concerne de plus des polypeptides de HST-1 isolés, des polypeptides de fusion, des peptides antigéniques et des anticorps anti-HST-1 ; ainsi que des méthodes diagnostiques utilisant des compositions de l'invention.
